Today as I prepared for my journey back, I felt a touch of the divine. A simple prayer made in earnest found its answer in what could never have been a chance meeting. A random turn of the head at the bus bay to glance at nothing in particular, catching sight of a familiar figure that had walked and worked beside me for a year, recognising her instantly even though she had shades on, calling out to her and running to her instinctively, feeling such unusual gladness at seeing her, chatting unreservedly, then closing with a prayerโit could all only be divine, that I could practice one baby step of obedience back home, eight hours before my flight away.
